CELEBRATE OUR AGRICULTURAL HERITAGE

The Port Perry Fair celebrates agriculture every Labour Day weekend.

Come see the many great events that will be happening at this year’s fair. To start the weekend off the O.P.P. Golden Helmets will be showing their precision riding at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 1 - location, corner of Carlan and Reach Street. (right across from the fairgrounds main gate). The action then moves to the fair grandstand for the Opening Ceremonies followed by a short demonstration ride by FMX team with Air Insanity and the ever-popular Truck & Tractor Pull.

Sunday the Port Perry Agriculture Fair will be in full swing with 4-H Shows, Beef Cattle show, a variety of musical entertainment in the Entertainment Shelter ending with two bands starting at 8:30 pm. – Hitched and Jason Blaine.

Monday Holstein cattle and Heavy Horses will be featured. A new feature for 2007 will be Chuckwagon races. Come share in the thrills and excitement of these.

All days will feature shows by those ever poplar Free-Style Motocross Riders. Do try to catch those wild and crazy riders in the 2007 Air Insanity.

No fair would be complete without featuring the fine needlework, crafts and culinary arts of this area. A visit to the Christie Building is not to be missed. Also don’t forget to visit the Junior Building were our Youth are displaying their best work. Better yet, look over the many categories and enter yourself.

Or return for some of your favourites, the ever popular Demolition Derby, the excitement of the Harness Horse Racing, and of course the Family Rodeo. Cotton candy, midway rides and great entertainment – a great way to celebrate the end of summer. The Port Perry Fair, come celebrate agriculture.
