Rules and regulations
• All cut flowers, plants and flowers used in arrangements, to be grown by the exhibitor, unless otherwise stated.
• Flowers need not be grown from seed.
• Arrangements to be done by the exhibitor.
• Please read the “Helpful hints for the exhibitor” and follow them carefully.
• Flowers should be placed in suitable container of water that will support them and prevent tipping.

23. CLASS 23 – FLOWERS

Prizes: 1st: $6, 2nd: $5, 3rd: $4, 4th: $3

Classes:

1.	Sunflower, 1 head – maximum 10" across, including petals
2.	Sunflower, 1 head – over 10" across, including petals
3.	Dahlia, 1 bloom
4.	Begonia, 1 bloom with foliage, must be floating in a bowl of water.
5.	Marigolds, 3 blooms, any variety.
6.	Hosta, 3 leaves, all different.
7.	Purple cone flower (Echinacea), 3 blooms.
8.	Garden Grown Grasses, 3 stems, same variety.
9.	Any other annual, 3 stems, same variety.
10.	Any other perennial, 3 stems, same variety.
11.	Any potted plant. Maximum size of pot 6" (15cm)
12.	SPECIAL: "Puddle Jumping" An arrangement using wild flowers, grasses and or bull rushes etc.. Prizes: 1st: $6, 2nd: $5, 3rd: $4, others: $0 Display in a rubber boot as a container Please NO berries or invasive grass (phragmites)
13.	SPECIAL: Grades 4 and under: "Pick and Plunk" – under 10" (25.4cm) in height. Prizes: 1st: $6, 2nd: $5, 3rd: $4, others: $0 Seasonal, garden grown materials "picked" and artfully "plunked" into a container of choice.
14.	SPECIAL: Grade 5-8: "Pick and Pluck" – over 10", maximum 20" (24.5-50.8cm) in height. Prizes: 1st: $6, 2nd: $5, 3rd: $4, others: $0 Seasonal, garden grown materials "picked" and artfully "plucked" into a container of choice.
15.	Special: "Wild and Free" (B) Prizes: 1st: $6, 2nd: $5, 3rd: $4, others: $0 An arrangement of wild flowers and grasses (no berries please)
