Rules and regulations
• All cut flowers, plants and flowers used in arrangements, to be grown by the exhibitor, unless otherwise stated.
• Flowers need not be grown from seed.
• Arrangements to be done by the exhibitor.
• Please read the “Helpful hints for the exhibitor” and follow them carefully.
• Flowers should be placed in suitable container of water that will support them and prevent tipping.
Prizes: (Section 23.1-23.12) 1st $5, 2nd $4, 3rd $3, 4th $2 Sponsored by TD Canada Trust, Port Perry
- Sunflower, 1 head – maximum 10″ across, including petals
- Sunflower, 1 head – over 10″ across, including petals
- Dahlia, 1 bloom
- Begonia, 1 bloom with foliage, must be floating in a bowl of water.
- Marigolds, 3 blooms, any variety.
- Hosta, 3 leaves, all different.
- Purple cone flower (Echinacea), 3 blooms.
- Garden grasses, 3 stems, same variety.
- Any other annual, 3 stems, same variety.
- Any other perennial, 3 stems, same variety.
- Any potted plant. Maximum size of pot 6″ (15cm)
- SPECIAL: “Wild and Free” An arrangement of wild flowers and grasses (no berries please). Display in an old boot or shoe.
